well i put the 12 tooth sprocket on and went out riding. it sure did help out alot in the corners. it pulls better coming
out of the corners and i can keep it in 3rd most of the time whether im going slow or reving it out. i took my crf to the
races last sunday and raced the 80 class, 80 unlimited, and the TTR-125 class. pulling off the line was still best done in
1st gear and while the front tire was still in the air i would shift into 2nd.......in 4th gear by the 1st turn i pulled the
holeshot in both motos of the TTR-125 class, was in 5th in the 80, and 7th in the 80 unlimited, all out of about 12-15 riders
in each group. i ended up taking 1st place in both TTR-125 motos, and managed to move up to 2nd and 3rd place finishes in
the 80 class, while only placing 4th then 5th in the 80 unlimited class. the bike handles really well on this very tight arenacross
style track. the suspension soaked up the jumps so much better than i ever thought it would. i could never say enough about
the suspension on this bike! its awesome! while riding by myself out in my secret play area my bike doesnt seem to be that
fast or powerful, but slamming into a corner with 12-14 other cr85/yz85's and realizing that im keeping up with them them
gave me a great feeling of satisfaction. BUT, i will say this for the record, MY CRF150F IS NO WHERE NEAR AS FAST/POWERFUL
AS A CR85/YZ85, and i am not jeremy mcgrath either, but i have been racing for a while and i am a decent rider. (either that
or these guy werent very good riders) but, it is possible for a good rider to keep up with a cr 80 on this bike. i even saw
the guys from BBRmotorsports out there on their aluminum framed crf150f. (the one on their website) and that guy smoked everyone
and took 1st place in the 250 class!!! i asked him what he did to the motor and he said he just had the BBR pipe and rev box.
that pipe sounded awesome! i practiced with him a couple laps but he just kept getting farther and farther away. he pulled
on me bigtime in the straights with that pipe. everytime i left my bike and came back there was always someone there staring
at it, asking questions, saying they wanted one. and i got some compliments on its performance in the 80 class as of yesterday
i have that "full power kit" that everyone is raving about. its a simple installation but for you new guys, sorry, it doesnt
come with instructions. you can email me for that. i havent had a chance to really try it out and see the difference, just
started it up to make sure it still ran, and im still going to play with the jetting some more. hopefully ill be getting the
BBR pipe by next week so ill have more on that later, along with the power up kit once i get it dialed in where i want it.
any questions? email me siredward20@aol.com
